This October, Clifden Station House Hotel invites you to become part of Secrets in the Library, a thrilling live-action murder mystery inspired by the romance of the legendary Orient Express and the decadent glamour of the Great Gatsby.
Our original date, Friday, October 30th, is now completely sold out – so, due to demand, we’ve added a second night on Saturday, October 31st.
Your evening begins with a welcome cocktail in the atmospheric Library Bar before moving through to the elegant Carriage Restaurant for an indulgent three-course dinner. But as the evening unfolds, all may not be quite as it seems…
Professional actors from Dark Shenanigans will draw you into a world of secrets, suspicion, deception and unexpected twists. Watch closely, question everything and keep your wits about you — every clue matters, and every guest becomes part of the story.

7pm Welcome Cocktail – Your evening begins in the elegant surroundings of the Library Bar, where a signature cocktail awaits before the mystery unfolds.
Three-Course Meal- Take your seat in the Carriage Restaurant and enjoy a carefully crafted three-course dinner as the first clues begin to emerge and suspicion falls on every guest.
Live Murder Mystery – Presented by Dark Shenanigans, this immersive Great Gatsby-inspired whodunnit places you at the heart of an evening of intrigue, deception and unexpected twists.
Stay the Night –When the mystery has been solved, the evening is only just beginning. Join us in the Library Bar for live music and a chance to relive the night’s twists and turns before retiring to the comfort of an overnight stay.
Dress Code
Great Gatsby glamour is encouraged. Think black tie, tuxedos, pearls, feathers and vintage elegance.
